PROCEDURE FOR CLEANING AND STORAGE OF SAMPLING DEVICES.
OBJECTIVE : To lay down the procedure for Cleaning and storage of sampling devices.
SCOPE : This SOP shall be applicable for Cleaning of all type of Sampling devices.

PROCEDURE
After the sampling, keep the sampling devices (Sampling rods, sampling spoons and spatulas) in a poly bags labelled as “to be cleaned”.
Wash the sampling devices thoroughly with running potable water for approximately 2-3 minutes, with mild scrubbing with hand if required.
Finally rinse the sampling devices with Purified water.
Remove excess of water using compressed air and dry the tools in the oven at 60°C for four hours and put the sampling devices in a fresh poly bag to transfer it to drying oven.
Place the sampling devices in clean poly bags and label them as cleaned and store them in the stainless steel containers.
