Operation of Vacuum Cleaner
Objective :To lay down a procedure for the Operation of Vacuum Cleaner.
Scope : This SOP is applicable for Operation of Vacuum Cleaner to warehouse of formulation plant.
Responsibility
Operator / Technician – For Operation of Vacuum Cleaner.
Warehouse personnel– To maintain proper functioning of the equipment & procedure as per the SOP.
Accountability
Warehouse In charge & QA Head shall be accountable for implementation of this SOP.

Procedure
Make sure that the plug is disconnected from the source of electricity.
Unhook the tank locking system, remove the head and ensure that the cloth filter is properly installed.
Keep the head in its original position again and secure it onto the bin with locking system.
Insert the flexible hose in the bin entry onto the flexible hose.

Connect the plug top to the socket and switch “ON” the vacuum Cleaner.
Press the switch of the vacuum cleaner and suck the dust from the machine or floor.
After using the vacuum cleaner, switch ‘OFF’ the mains and remove the hose and brush.
Remove “EQUIPMENT STATUS” label and affix “TO BE CLEANED” label.
