To implement and procedure of the replacement procedure for the Purified Water Pump.
This SOP covers the replacement procedure for the Purified Water Pump.
PROCEDURE
Ensure that there is no production activity in the concerned area.
Turn on the Reverse Osmosis system and put a sign “UNDER PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE”.
Drain water from the purified water storage and distribution tank using the tap (62, according to the scheme) located under the tank.
The person, who carries out the purified water pump replacement should wear a working suit.
Remove the plugs from the reserve pump flanges
Disconnect the sections of the feed pipelines to the pump and discharge pipelines from the raw water storage tank.
Inspect attentively the inner and joint surfaces of the removed parts for dirtiness and mechanical damages, and replace the damaged gaskets if necessary.
Connect the reserve pump to the purified water storage and distribution tank and to the discharging pipeline with the help of pipes disconnected from the main pipe.
Fit the plugs on the branches of the main pump.
After switching to the reserve pump, it is necessary to carry out additional sanitation of the Reverse Osmosis system.
Remove the sign “UNDER PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE”.
Make the corresponding record in the “Log Sheet of the purified water pump replacement
FREQUENCY
The switching of the purified water pump is carried out when the preventive repairs twice a year are made and in case of the pump failure.
ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
The pump should provide the normal circulation of purified water in the system.
